There are plenty of dogs at Orphans of the Storm® right now who are particularly eager to spend as much time as possible snuggling with their new family. And with the weather getting colder, what better time to add a new cuddle-buddy to your home?

Parker the one-year-old Labrador Retriever mix is a lovey-dovey boy. He gave me a doggy hug as soon as he came out of his kennel. He also likes to give doggy kisses. Parker spent some time snuggled in my lap when we took a break during our walk around the woodland preserve. He certainly will want to be close to his person!

Parker is a cutie

Parker walks nicely on a leash. The only time he pulls a bit is when he passes another dog. He can get a little excited then. The rest of the time, Parker walks at a perfect pace. Since Parker can get so attached to his person, he may want to act a little protectively around his future owner. Come in soon to see if Parker is the one for you!

Parker thinks you can never be too close!

Gale the two-year-old Hound mix is a little skittish at the moment, but she’s still a sweet and friendly girl who likes to stay close to whoever is walking her. So close, in fact, that Gale was weaving in and out of my legs while we were on our walk! You don’t have to worry about Gale getting too far ahead of you.

Gale likes having time to enjoy the outdoors

Gale enjoys keeping her Hound nose to the ground so she can keep track of interesting scents. But she’s happy to take a break from that every once in a while for a snuggle session. Gale hopped up to join me on the bench and put her front paws in my lap while I pet her. Stop by soon to meet Gale!
